Remote Learning

In the unlikely event of the school closing, please read the following guidance on accessing remote learning.

Where will I access learning?

The primary source for learning activities will be via Google Classroom. This enables staff to update and add to learning opportunities regardless of how long or short the closure is. To access Google Classroom please click on the link:

https://classroom.google.com/

Each child would be issued a unique user name and password to securely access Google Classroom.

What will be provided?

Daily learning will consist of Maths and English and two foundation learning subjects (Science, French, Topic and PE)

Children are to do the work in their homework books and upload photos of the work to Google Classroom for their teacher to provide feedback.

Please contact the office to arrange further homework books if needed.

What will I do if I do not have access to the Internet?

Please contact the office if you do not have access to the internet or are using limited mobile data.

What if my child has no access to a suitable device?

Please contact the office if your child does not have access to a device, we can offer a loaned device to support remote learning.

But I’m not a teacher and I don’t know how to guide my child; what should I do?

Google Classroom will be updated daily with the lesson plan and expectations for that day. If you have any difficulties or wish to speak to your child's teacher please email them for support. (A list of staff email addresses can be found on the contact page)

Will we still get updates?

Yes. Despite the school closure we will be sending out updates through Class Dojo and weekly Keeping Connected newsletters. You will continue to have access to the website and if you need to speak to us, please contact the office on 01773 832895 between 8:30am and 4:45pm.

Provision of Free School Meals

Children who are eligible for Free School Meals and not in school, will be offered a packed lunch.

Key Worker and Vulnerable children that are in school and are eligible for FSM will still be provided a lunch from the usual school menu.
