Uniform
Our school uniform requirements are inclusive and affordable. Children at Leys Junior School always look smart and parents are extremely supportive of our school uniform policy. Jumpers, polo shirts, cardigans and PE t-shirts with the school logo are available and look very nice, but are not compulsory.
All students are required to wear uniform, our school uniform consists of the following;
Shirt - White polo shirt with a collar or white shirt.
Trousers - These are plain black. No jeans, leggings or joggers please. Smart black shorts may be worn in summer with black or white socks.
Skirt/ Dress - Black with black or white woollen tights, white or black knee length or ankle socks. A red check dress may be worn during the summer.
Sweatshirt/ Cardigan - These are red and can be with or without the embroidered school logo. These are available from the My Clothing website.
Footwear - Plain Black sensible shoes or trainers please. No boots.
Socks/Tights - white or black
P.E. - Children need black shorts or black skort and a red t-shirt and trainers (any colour). No plimsolls.
Additional Equipment - 15cm ruler, pencils, rubber, pencil sharpener (with pot), coloured crayons, blue fibre tipped pen (for those children with a pen license), wallet, water bottle
All clothing and belongings should be clearly labelled with the owner's name and regularly checked to ensure that it is still readable. One jumper looks very much like another to a child! Lost clothing is placed in the Lost Property Box and if unclaimed after a term will be donated.
